Modern slavery statement
Last updated 13 October 2026
The Pompiere Pizza Co Ltd is a small catering business, well below the size at which the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a statement. We publish one anyway, because we take the issue seriously and our event clients rightly ask.
Our business
We make and serve wood-fired pizza from mobile kitchens in East Yorkshire: takeaway from our pitch and catering for weddings, parties and corporate events. We employ a small team directly.
Our supply chain
Most of what we buy is food, drink and packaging, largely from established UK wholesalers and suppliers, along with equipment and vehicle services. We prefer suppliers we know and have worked with over time.
What we do
- We check every member of staff's right to work in the UK before they start.
- We pay at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage, and never ask for fees or deposits to work for us.
- We expect our suppliers to treat their workers fairly and lawfully, and we will stop working with any supplier where we find evidence of modern slavery or human trafficking.
- Anyone working for or with us can raise a concern directly with the director, in confidence, by emailing enquiries@pompierepizzaco.com.
Review
We review this statement every year, and when our business or suppliers change significantly.
